Rules for character creation:
If you are starting a New Character, whether because you are playing with the group for the first time, or because you are giving an existing character a much needed day or two off, here are the outlines for starting a character.
Level 2 will be our standard starting point for characters.
Ability Scores are to be determined by 20 point buy.
Gear should be purchased with 1,000 gp
There are No Class Restrictions.
There are No Race Restrictions, though unusual races should be run by me so I can know what to expect.
This campaign will Not use the Mythic Adventures supplement.
This campaign May involve the Technology Guide supplement at a later point if things get particularly wonky. I don’t pretend to know what is in store.
Experience will be awarded at the end of every exploration session, not necessarily by floor or quest. Since characters may be swapping out, this may mean that we have uneven character experience allotment or levels.
Characters should level according to the Medium Experience Track detailed in the linked table.
As new floor are generated and planned, each floor will have some amount of self-contained story or arc. When a floor is completed, characters will have an opportunity to sense what may lay below. This is your opportunity to determine if your current character is equipped for the coming dungeon or if they will send another in their stead.
Between sessions, your characters will be dwelling in the adventuring hub of a city called Dammenheim, detailed in the linked page.
